The weather does not permit yet to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. So, I was looking for something to do. I decided to go for another geothermal area. Actually, I had something else in mind, but ended up in Orakei Korako. It's a 25 minutes drive from Taupo. And you have to catch a boat to get there. But that's all included in the entry fee you pay at the visitor center on the other side.
