The icequality here was questionable. The chinook paid a toll at the ice. The snow was thawn and refrozen, leaving a weak crust of ice, which I had to hammer down, to get to some better ice. But first I had to clear the ice of the snow. And the exit, was a fight against a meter of snow... no was to protect or to find a hook with the pick.
