The via ferrata Schwarzhorn is not very long and not hard, but the scenery is fantastic. And it's a good 1000 m hike.
From Grindelwald, catch the cable car up to First. Follow the hiking trail Schwarzhorn. Follow the white-blue-white Markings. Half way between Chrinnenboden and Schwarzhorn the path diverts. Follow the path to Grossi Chrinne and at the top of the pass follow the ridge to the start of the via ferrata. To descend follow the hiking trail down the south ridge. You can either go back to First or to Grosse Scheidegg, where you can catch a bus down to Grindelwald.
