"Bracketing Card 2" provides 2 modes:
  • Exposure bracketing.
  • Flash bracketing.
Restrictions:
  • Exposure increment of 0.3 EV can only be set in Exposure Bracketing mode.

Changing Card Settings

  1. Press the "Card Adj." Button.
  2. Turn the front control dial to choose mode.
  3. Mode Function
    brAc Exposure Bracketing
    F br Flash Bracketing
  4. Press the "Card" Button to set mode.
    • Use front dial to change exposure increment (0.3, 0.5 or 1.0 EV).
    • Use rear dial to set number of frames (3, 5 or 7).
  5. Press "Card Adj." to set changes.
To turn off or turn on this function press the "Card" button.

Note: If you do not perform any operations for 20 seconds, any changes you have made will be stored in the card and the camera will return to operation mode.

Exposure Bracketing Mode

  • Drive mode will be set to continuous* and cannot be changed.
    *9xi/7xi: High-speed continuous is set.
  • Flashes will be turned off. If you're using 4000AF/2800AF/1800AF/1200AF flashes, the camera wont release if you don't have manually turned them off.
  • Press the shutter-release button all the way down and hold it until the bracketing sequence is completed. If you lift the finger from the shutter-release button before the sequence is finished, the camera will stop. A new serie will be started next time you press the button.

Flash Bracketing Mode

  • Drive mode will be set to single-frame advance and cannot be altered.
  • If you're using 4000AF/2800AF/1800AF/1200AF flashes, turn them on manually or the camera wont release.
  • The serie is finished, when "End" has appeared on the body and the viewfinder data panels.
Restrictions:
  • Data Receiver DR-1000 cannot be used with this card.
